WELCOME TO BERNESE WELFARE UK
* 2014 Christmas Update *
2014 has been another busy year for Bernese Welfare UK.
Between 1st January and 1st December 2014 we have accepted
19 Bernese into our care and have helped with the rehoming
of a further 8 Bernese.
The dogs featured on this card are just a few of the many we have
helped so far this year;
JENSEN - 9 years old and suffering from a number of health
issues, his owners were unable to provide for his needs.
CHESTER - 4 years old, his owners no longer had the time to
care for him.
LUCY - 5 1/2 years old, needed a new home due to her owners
work and travel commitments.
ZELDA - an ex-breeding bitch, she was advertised on the internet
and sold as a "family companion." Zelda was unable to
cope with her new role, didn't adjust to her new environment
and consequently the family who had purchased her were
unable to cope with her and handed her into our care
just a few weeks later.
Thank you to everyone who has supported Bernese Welfare UK.
None of the income we receive is spent on Honorariums, gratuities
under any guise or administration costs – every penny that comes
our way goes towards the costs directly associated with the care,
rehabilitation and rehoming of displaced Bernese.
Your generosity has enabled us to continue to provide help and
refuge to unwanted Bernese Mountain Dogs in the UK.
Jude and Brian and all the needy Bernese who have been
helped send our very grateful thanks and
wish all our wonderful team of helpers and supporters
a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous 2015
BERNESE WELFARE UK was established in 1985/6 as one of the services provided by The Bernese Breeders Association of Great Britain to provide aid to Bernese Mountain Dogs and their owners who are located in the UK.
The aim of BERNESE WELFARE UK is to provide aid to Bernese owners who are unable - for any reason - to keep their Bernese Mountain Dog. In an ideal world everyone would be able to commit to keeping their dog for life - but this is the REAL world and things don't always work out that way.
Anyone finding themselves in such a position need not worry nor feel awkward nor embarrassed about asking for our help to find a new, permanent home for your Bernese. Don't hesitate if you are a Bernese owner in need of help to find refuge for or rehome your Bernese - just CALL us and you are guaranteed a speedy, efficient, experienced, sympathetic response plus complete confidentiality.
During the 12 month period between 1st January and 31st December 2013 Bernese Welfare UK
accepted 24 Bernese into care and helped with the rehoming of a further 11 Bernese.
